Belgrade rewards people who slow down. Here is how to arrive, get around and make the most of a first visit.

Getting in from the airport

The A1 minibus runs to Slavija every 20 minutes for 400 RSD. Taxis should be booked from the official desk in arrivals — fixed zones apply.

Money

The currency is the Serbian dinar (RSD). Cards are widely accepted; carry some cash for markets and kafanas.

Getting around

  • Public transport in central zones is free for residents and visitors since 2025
  • Car Go and Yandex are reliable ride-hail apps
  • The old town is very walkable
